Golf at the Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Calatagan Golf Club course is only 15 minutes drive away. Commonly regarded as one of the country’s most beautiful courses, guests staying at the Coral Beach Club receive a preferential rate on their green fees for the chance to play this splendid but challenging course.

Water Sports

The wakeboarding park, Lago D’oro is situated about 5 minutes’ drive from the resort and is also currently being developed as the Calatagan Waterpark, we can book ahead for you.

Water Sports (Banana Boat, Jetski, Flying Fish & Scuba) can be arranged for you with one of our beach partners, please ask our staff for details & bookings.

Boat Hire is available for fishing and/or sightseeing/beer drinking. Please ask our staff. Island hopping & a trip to Fortune Island are favourite destinations.

Bamboo Rafts (Balsas), which are almost unique to Matabungkay Beach here in the Philippines, can be hired for an afternoon’s relaxation or a fun BBQ. Please ask if you wish to experience this local treat.

Running & Riding

The local area is suitable for biking, walking and running. On the road between Tagaytay and Lian, is the jump-off point for the 2 hour hike to the summit of Mount Talamitam.

When en route to the Coral Beach Club

The drive to Batangas from central Manila will normally take about 2 & ½ hours depending on the time of day, traffic and weather. There is a continuing programme of road improvements that is making the journey quicker and easier so why not consider breaking your journey with some of the following suggestions.
You could stop & shop at the new shopping centres that have arisen on the road between Sta Rosa (just off the SLEX) and Nuvali….you name it, it is probably there and there are a host of eateries as well.

In Tagaytay City (50km from the resort or one hour on) you will find Taal Lake, which is famous for having a volcano on an island, in a lake, in a volcano on an island! You can take a boat to the island then hike to the volcano (or ride a horse there!). Having built up an appetite you could eat in one of many restaurants in the area (or just carry on to the Club!).

You could also visit the People’s Park in the Sky, a Marcos era country house and the Puzzle Museum which houses the world’s largest private collection of jigsaws including the world’s two largest puzzles.

And if you are heading to Coral Beach Club and are planning to play golf at the fabulous course at Calatagan, why not stop on your way down (or when heading back after your break here) and take in a round at Riviera (Silang)Splendido (Tagaytay) or Mount Malarayat (Lipa) just to mention a few of the available courses. We can assist you to book ahead.

Above all, just take it easy on the way and we be here at the resort to welcome you and help you to ‘slow down and pleasure up!’. Relax, you’ll soon be at the beach!

Loads to do or simply slow down, pleasure up
